The Cobblers - Smokin’ At The Half Note (Studio City SC 1060)

Smokin’ At The Half Note, a great garage record from this Oshkosh Wisconsin band, recorded in 1966. The band would go on to record a single on the local Tee Pee label as Syndicate.

Sixties Rebellion - Vol. 4 The Go-Go

The Moon-Dawgs - “You’re No Good” b/w “Baby, As Time Goes By” (Bofuz BF-1115)

Here’s a good one from The Moon-Dawgs on Bofuz, “Baby, As Time Goes By” has been comped on Gravel vol. 1 and Highs In The Mid Sixties vol. 13, but I don’t believe the flip “You’re No Good” has been comped before. The band is believed to come from Louisiana, in fact they have one killer track on the Eva comp Louisiana Punk From The Sixties.

Sixties Rebellion - Vol. 3 The Auditorium

The Coachmen - Mr. Moon (Bear 1974)

The Coachmen had a big midwest hit with Mr. Moon in 1966, the band was from Lincoln Nebraska.

The Young Tyrants - “I Try!” b/w “She Don’t Got The Right!” (IN 101)

Nice two sider from The Young Tyrants issued on In Records in 1967.

The Sons of May - Morning Dew (Sonic 2746)

Nice northwoods version of Morning Dew by this Rhinelander Wisconsin band from 1967. The Sonic and Hodag labels were both imprints of Audio Unlimited Records, owned by Michael Kuehl. You may also be familiar with Hodag for releasing the killer I Don’t Care by Gord’s Horde, which was comped on Highs In The Mid Sixties volume 15.

Gil Bateman - Wicked Love (Panorama PAN-1022)

The Bostweeds - Little Bad News (Chattahoochee CH-689-2)

The Woggles - Teen Dance Party

Another out of print gem from The Woggles, Teen Dance Party was the bands debut LP, released on Estrus in 1993. If you dig the bands first two albums there are plenty of Woggles still in print you might consider purchasing. There are also a few albums on Telstar (Fractured and Get Tough) that are also out of print, I may post these in the future.
